essay endings & essay beginnings

In the previous blog, I suggested writing essays in a circle - continuation stories written by the students. This blog is just to refer to the page on this website that gives Essay Ending sentences and Essay Beginnings. Of course, you will probably have many, many ideas of your own, but often a prompt will help with suggestions for topics and ideas.

For me, writing the beginning of an essay is the hardest thing to do. I can't write the body without first writing the intro.- Maude, writer

Try the ideas with "Essay Beginnings" under the "Essay Endings" page. Beginnings and endings are merely prompts for creative writing but it's always a good idea to get students to think about a topic from a different perspective. - Lucille.
