If you are looking for ideas, how about asking the students to give some ideas for a daily (or weekly) "student time agenda".  Teachers can encourage students to give ideas not only for fun activities, but for a review on a given grammar structure, explanation of a difficult strategy, worksheets on specific topics.
The suggestions can be placed in a box, and are kept anonymous, so this enables students who feel shy about asking for a repetition of something will not be embarrassed by asking again.  It also shows the students that their ideas are welcome and they can feel excited when their idea is chosen. 

For adult ESL  students, a "grammar review suggestion box" in particular,  could work really successfully.  Instead of them having to ask for a  grammar rule, this private request will enable the students to receive an answer about even the most basic grammar structure, without feeling self conscious.  And all review is good for everyone anyway.

The teacher can ask for one idea only at any given collection of ideas so that every one can be organized and taught by the teacher, making each student feel special and included in the activities of the class.

When all ideas have been used up, the teacher can request new ideas and collect a new batch of suggestions.

Add some fun projects to your classes by having students prepare presentations, games, or plays.  This is a good time of year to cheer up the students and get them to revise their work.  Doing activities that involve the material practiced through games and activities can boost everyone's energy.  For example, in a history class, divide up certain sections of the syllabus and have groups of students prepare an activity to help others learn.  So, for instance, a group could decide to write a skit about a history section, or prepare a puzzle, game or field trip to review the material.

This kind of group work takes the focus off the teacher, enables students to sit in various groups to work and enables revision for tests in a relaxed and enjoyable way.
