Kids' Reading

On a Train

When you travel on a train, you can look out
the  window and see the houses, streets, and shops in the city; or the fields, cows  and trees in the countryside.

You can hear the sound of the train clacking  on  the tracks - clickety clack, or bumpity bump, or whoosh!

People on the train are interesting too. Tall, short, happy, sad, busy, tired - everyone is going to work or school. If they are lucky, they are on vacation.

You can listen to music, work on your laptop,
fall  asleep or watch the people. You can imagine all kinds of things or pretend you are someone else.

There are so many things you can do on a
  train!

Write your own story about a ride on a
train or  bus.
