"A Fly in the Room"
A: That fly has been buzzing around the room for an hour. I have been trying to study.....it is so annoying.
B: Get up and open the window. It will go out.
A: Where have you been this past hour, by the way? I thought you wanted to study with me.
B: I've been learning in the other room. It is much nicer to study in front of the tv. I have been watching the news at the same time.
A: You can't study and watch tv at the same time - that's why you've been failing the tests lately.
B: I haven't been failing. It's true I haven't been doing well - but I have not been failing! That's not fair!
A: Oh there's that stupid fly again.
B: (Opens the window and the fly goes out) See, you've been wasting your time trying to catch the fly. It has been trying to get out the window all this time.
A: Yes, and I have been too busy - and too lazy to get up. Anyway, come and join me here, we can study together.
B: Alright.
