Dance Class Two dancers are talking about their dancing skills.
Dancer 1: I need to practice my dance again. I keep forgetting the steps. Dancer 2: I never forget, but my problem is that my right foot always hurts me. Dancer 1: The teacher said that if you want to be a dancer, you have to suffer the pain. Dancer 2: Yes, I know, but I don't know if it is worth it. I could learn to play the piano instead. My parents will let me change to piano lessons if I want. Dancer1 : Really! I would never want to give up dancing; I love it. And I will keep practicing even harder, because I always forget the steps. Dancer 2: Well, let's practice. Let's warm up together. Bend...stretch....bend....stretch. (They continue warming up as they talk) Dancer 1: Did you hear that Janice has been chosen for the dance festival? Dancer 2: I can't believe it! I don't think she's the best dancer in the class. Dancer 1: She has a beautiful style. She moves smoothly. And she gets her legs so high! Dancer 2: Well....I don't.... Dancer 1: And she has so much energy. She never gets tired. Dancer 2: I suppose you're right. By the way, you need to lift your leg higher - you need to work harder. Dancer 1: Well, that's not really nice of you. Dancer 2: I'm just being honest. I can't do it myself because my foot hurts, but you could. I won't ever become a dancer, but I think you really have a good chance of becoming a wonderful dancer. Dancer 1: Thanks, I appreciate that. Maybe one day you'll become a wonderful piano player.
