Beginner's Dialog Script

I am sick

Mr. Smith:
I am sick today.  I can't go to work.  The doctor says I have a cold.

Mrs. Smith:
Ok, I will call your boss. I will tell him you are sick.

Mr. Smith:
I think he will not be happy.

Mrs. Smith:
Yes, that is true.  But you are sick.  Your head hurts, your back hurts, and you have a fever.  You can't sit with all the people at work.  That is not a good idea if you are in pain.

Mr. Smith:
I feel bad.  I am sorry I can't go and do my job.  I need medicine.  Please go to the pharmacy and buy me some medicine.

Mrs. Smith:
Okay.  You stay in bed.  It is warm there.  I will go and buy medicine for you.

Mr. Smith:
Yes, and then I can go to work tomorrow.  Thank you for helping me.

Mrs. Smith:
Well, I do love you, you know!
