Abstract Dialog Script

Lighting a Fire

A:   Please.
B:   Okay.
A:   I'll light the fire.
B:   Do you have matches?
A:   No, I  have my lighter.
B:   I  thought you had given up  smoking!
A:   No.
B:   I think we should talk about it.
A:   Tomorrow.  Hey, have a look at  this!
B:   What!  I thought we had lost that years ago.

In preparation:
 What happened before this  conversation?
 Where are the speakers?
 Who are the speakers?
What does "A" see in the last  line?
Why is "B" surprised.

Notice that there are three distinct parts  to this conversation,
1) the reason for the "please and okay" at  the beginning
 2) the issue regarding "A" giving up smoking
 3) what is seen at the end of the  dialog.
