An idea as a springboard for writing scripts can be based on statues (pictures of them or a visit to a museum) cave paintings, and decoration on old vases.
Bring an unusual item that has an historic illustration to the classroom, or a picture of one of the above suggestions and have students write creative scripts from the prompt. Another idea is to ask students to bring in a very old photograph which can be used, firstly, to tell the class about, and then to use in a creative way to write the words of the people in the picture.
The activity can either be for creative writing, scripts for a drama class, using specific vocabulary, or employing a particular grammar structure in ESL.
